About Me

Living in Indianapolis, Indiana, I currently work at Ken Long & Associates where I designed and manage the website, design brochures and logos for various events, regularly send out email newsletters concerning upcoming events, and go outside to work the finish line of the events themselves.

I've been a gamer ever since I can remember, going back to the original Nintendo NES system and my old 386 computer to my XBox 360 and Core 2 Duo box that I built myself now. Lately I've been caught playing Grand Theft Auto IV, EVE Online, World of Warcraft, Rock Band, Call of Duty 4, Company of Heroes, World in Conflict, Mass Effect, and Assassin's Creed.

    Latest Projects

I have just put online the new Ken Long & Associates website. This is a project that I feel greatly improves the look and feel of the site over the previous version. The main point I had at the very beginning of this was to integrate a news feed. I wanted to make it easier for users to find out what was going on and know when new events were ready for registration, plus anything else we needed to get out to people. Because the news feed would replace the front page area of big logos for upcoming events, I made a fairly large sidebar for the entire site to house all the upcoming events that are available to view. This replaces the small text box near the top of the old site, and is much more promenint, allowing users to quickly find an event no matter where they are on the website.

All in all I'm very happy with the new design, and so far the user feedback has been nothing but positive. This has really been another great experience for me with web design. Every time I do a new website, I learn something new, and it's great. It makes me excited to learn these new tecniques, and know that I'll be able to use those abilities in the future as well.
